WALK THE WALLS: be sure to
get an early morning start and schedule this early in
your visit. The near-2km walk is nothing short of
spectacular, with views, peaks, and panoramas into
everything that Dubrovnik is famed for. This walk can be
strenuous, especially in the height of Summer, but
relief is at hand withy a number of kiosks along the
fascinating route where you can rest and restore
yourself for the remainder of your walk. Rubber-soled
shoes, a wide-brimmed hat and a camera are essential.

GUNDULIC FARMERS' MARKET:
for local produce and souvenirs including essential oils
from local lavender fields, and our favourite- fig and
bay leaf wreaths, or candied orange rind and almonds.
PICNIC IN THE PARK just
beneath the Pile Gates entrance for similar dramatic
views of Bokar and Lovrijenac Fortresses.

FERRY TO LOKRUM: ten
minutes ride and countless perfect picture postcard
photo opportunities; the legendary shipwreck island of
Richard III.

step back in time and relish the
architecture, costumes, and history of Dubrovnik.

SKOLA BUFFET on Antuninska
1, just off Stradun or Placa, for our favourite home
made soda-bread sandwiches. Perfect for that
meal-on-the-run.

TWILIGHT ON STRADUN:
our favourite time of day to relax
with a drink at of the dozens of bars, and take in the
muted tones of twilight, after the cruise-ship crowds
have dispersed, and it is time for a breather.

SUNSET AT THE BUZA BAR: one
of the coolest bars in the world. Enjoy the adventure of
finding the "hole in the wall" bar wedged on the rocky
cliffs and overlooking Lokrum Island.

FRANCISCAN MONASTERY:
Stroll the cloistered gardens and
browse the old medicine jars at the apothecary, or for
those with more sense of fun and laughs, try THE "LUCKY
STEP" : watch visitors try their late-night luck and
gather just beside the church entrance where the
deceptively slippery step sits wedged in the wall of the
monastery.
LATE DRINKS AT THE
TROUBADOUR JAZZ BAR: around one
corner and the next, follow your instincts to the
popular night spot and grab a table while you can.

SUMATRIN BAY BEACHES AT LAPAD:
Another short ferry ride from the Old Town to Lapad,
well-serviced with restaurants, bars, and supermarket. A
